Step 2 · Read

Label the rooms of the song the way a playwright labels acts.

Verse: new information, story moving. Lyrics can change each time; melody often stays.
Chorus: the thesis you can hum. Same words (or nearly) each time. This is what a stranger remembers.
Pre-chorus: optional ramp — tension that makes the chorus feel like arrival.
Bridge: one visit. New chords or a new angle so the last chorus is not only a copy.
